Our Policy Position for SBSTTA 27 document is a key tool for negotiators, Parties, and observers. It provides text-based recommendations for each agenda item under consideration, highlighting where stronger gender-responsive approaches are needed to ensure that gender justice and women’s rights are fully integrated into the scientific and technical work of the Convention.

Our Policy Positions for SB8j 01 document provides recommendations to ensure that women and girls — particularly from Indigenous peoples and local communities — are fully recognised as rights-holders, knowledge-holders, and leaders in biodiversity action. It highlights how harmonising discussions under Article 8(j) with the CBD Gender Plan of Action (2022–2030) is essential for advancing gender justice while implementing the SB8j Programme of Work.
