The CBD Women’s Caucus is proud to launch a new video series — Voices from SBSTTA-27 — featuring reflections, outcomes, and perspectives from women across different regions and backgrounds who took part in the 27th meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA-27) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and ahead to SB8J-1 taking place from 27 to 30 October 2025 in Panama
Through this series, we gather the voices of women who share their experiences and reflections on:
-Key outcomes and discussions from the main agenda items at SBSTTA-27 from gender perspectives
-Perspectives on biodiversity priorities, policy coherence, and implementation
-Broader insights on advancing gender-responsive and human-rights-based biodiversity action under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF)
Each voice offers a powerful testimony of how women — in all their diversity — are influencing global biodiversity policy, strengthening collective advocacy, and connecting science, traditional knowledge, and lived experience to promote transformative, equitable, and inclusive outcomes.
