Women Forum
at CBD COP16
The Women Forum at COP16, organised by the Government of Colombia, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity and the CBD Women’s Caucus, will be celebrated on October 25th and 29th inside the Blue Zone of the UN Biodiversity COP16 in Cali, Colombia.
This event aims to promote the implementation of the Gender Plan of Action and advance gender-responsive approaches in the Global Biodiversity Framework. A key objective is to launch the Gender & Biodiversity Champions platform, which will unite a diverse community of stakeholders to drive commitments that integrate gender equality into biodiversity policy and action.
The two-part forum will provide a platform to discuss challenges, share success stories, and offer tools and resources. These discussions will inform the mid-term review of the Gender Plan of Action, identifying progress, lessons learned, and future priorities for the Subsidiary Body on Implementation before COP17.
